Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Using a stand or handheld electric mixer, cream together butter & sugars.
Once combined, beat in eggs, discard + vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, mix together your flour, salt, baking soda + baking powder.
Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients to the butter-sugar mixture, scraping down edges as needed.
Mix in chocolate, do a little taste test, then get ready to scoop!
Scoop cookies onto a parchment-lined baking tray.
Bake for 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees until just turning golden around the edges.
Allow the cookies to cool for 2 minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack.
